We live FT in a 25 yr. old Class A motorhome. I'd rather have it than a poorly made newer RV, as it has solid bones and is very reliable. We mostly boondock as we have over 5,000 watts of solar so don't need hook-ups anymore. In the last 5 1/2 years we have been FT I have only been asked for a picture once. Upon seeing it they approved our stay despite its age. They just use the rule to keep poorly maintained RVs out to possibly get more responsible campers who won't cause them any problems. They usually don't mind "restored classic RVs," like a brightly polished, vintage Airstream. These folks usually pay their bills, respect the rules, arrive and leave on time and make great camping neighbors. One thing I've run into that you missed is bans on visible alcohol containers at your campsite. I was in a state park once, eating a meal at the picnic table with my wife and I happened to have a beer can. The ranger stopped by, informed me of the rule and suggested I put my beer in a plastic cup rather than pour it out. I understand that they are trying to eliminate the drunken, noisy, party goers, and he understood that we weren't that type but a couple of older campers just trying to enjoy our meal, so he didn't throw us out, but suggested a way we could comply with their rules. Glad the campground was close. Just imagine if you paid labor to have them replaced. Do you have any idea of the tow mileage on the brake shoes? My experience is to examine once a year and replace as necessary . Take care .

Why you should never service your wheel bearings using the EZ Lube. Parts need visial inspection.

I’ve did a lot of brake jobs in the shop, a few special tools and drum brakes are not bad removing the clips and springs and getting them replaced with loosing too much blood 😂 Glad it turned out okay and no real damage was done to the unit or any other vehicle !

So sorry to hear about the loss of Barkley. We just bought a diesel truck and I have not driven it yet. Hubs is telling me about all the quirks...like the DEF system. Oh boy. What have we gotten ourselves into. He is retired now and I will be in a few years so it will be awhile before the big long trips. I love your channel and I love listening to all your adventures.

Oh Bernie and Susan, losing a pet like Barkley is a crushing blow. When we lost or 14 yr old Theodore, it took a long time for the hurt to subside. We have chosen not to get another dog as we don't want to go through that again. You are also right about the freedom that comes with a loss like that. Always have loved your hiking and product videos. I rather see more of you two than less. Have an enjoyable Spring.

OEM best way to go on parts, aftermarket just does not last and you the additional labor to replace it again.

Sorry for your loss, it’s tough to say goodbye to a good friend. You never get over that but it does become easier as time passes.

By the second install fail I wud have to either sell the truck or have a Def accident explosion😮 and enjoy the insurance $. Your both working way to much. Take care of each other❤.

I’ve missed seeing you I’m wishing you all best of luck in the future. Whenever I watch you guys, I remember seeing you broke down near Ontario, OR. l should have done what those that rescued you did. That was drive to the next exit and drive round. Because of that I do that now. I like seeing your hikes and the animals & plants & historical sites.

Believe me I feel your lost. We've lost so many of our beloved pets. It's so painful. Can't even play cd with music our last pets listened to as we left them home when shopping. Don't dare get another pet. To very painful to see them go. Understand, feel your pain and tears.☹️ Aloha

So sorry for your loss. Barkley was a cutie. Regarding hiking maybe you can get a review copy of a SPOT 2-WAY SATELLITE MESSENGER. They have a nice add-on which I think provides recovery if your RV is stuck off-road. Not for sure but maybe it would track your hikes which you could share as part of hiking trail videos. It might be interesting to SPOT to see their product used by you on the trail as well as for extra security when boondocking (no cell service but just sent family GPS coordinates).

I'll be on the road later this year in a truck camper and the first phase of my new life will be in the desert southwest as I have friends that stay in Quartzsite, AZ. See ya on the road 👍🏼
